Facial toner is the first moisturizing step in skin care after cleansing, and therefore one of the most important. Its task is to balance the skin's pH immediately after washing the face, so that the skin's protective layer remains strong and the skin can fight against bacteria and impurities.

The face water protects the skin from the tight dry feeling after washing and helps other skin care products to be absorbed better. Even the cream locks in the moisture much better when a toner has been used underneath, which has been left slightly damp before the serum and cream are applied. For dry skin, toners provide water hydration, but this is also important for oily skin, because hydrated skin needs to produce less sebum to keep the skin tissue elastic, which balances the skin's sebum production.

Facial toners also have different compositions, from water-like to thicker essences. You can also layer toners if you feel that the hydration offered once is not enough (for example, this is what the trendy 7 skin method is all about). At Yeppo, we recommend that you use a cotton pad to apply only exfoliating toners that contain AHA/BHA/PHA acids, and put other toners directly on your palms, so you can gently pat them onto your face. This way you save cotton pads, toner and your skin from physical exfoliation and possible irritation.
